Merchant Navy Commemorative Theme Project

The Merchant Navy Commemorative Theme Project (MNCTP) promotes the sacrifices and contributions of Allied Merchant Navy and American Merchant Marine Veterans as the mainstay of the Allied Forces victories in both World Wars. In addition, highlights their critical efforts in the Korean and Vietnam conflicts.

The MNCTP bridges the gap between the present day shipping industry and its glorious and predominantly forgotten past. By interconnecting historical fragments into a united whole, the MNCTP ensures that the valiant stories of our seafarers are told alongside their military and other civilian counterparts.

Also, safeguarding its historical integration into the national and international mosaics of our rich maritime heritage and culture.
