MEMORIA GLOBAL TO SOFT LAUNCH WITH “RAISE FOR HEROES”

 AT D’ARCY MCGEE’S ON APRIL 12, 2026

NATIONAL TARTAN DAY FOLLOW-ON FUNDRAISER IN

SUPPORT OF FIRST RESPONDERS AND HOMELESS VETERANS

OTTAWA, ONTARIO — April 12, 2026 — Memoria Global will make its public soft launch with RAISE FOR HEROES, a community fundraiser taking place from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at D’Arcy McGee’s, 44 Sparks Street, immediately following Ottawa’s National Tartan Day celebration on Parliament Hill. Presented with D’Arcy McGee’s and The Sons of Scotland Pipe Band as our inaugural Legacy Patrons, the event is designed to carry the energy of the Hill gathering into a second act of community action and support for first responders and homeless veterans. Proceeds from the event will be directed to the Ottawa First Responders Foundation and Veterans’ House Ottawa. Ottawa’s National Tartan Day programming is publicly listed for Sunday, April 12, 2026, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Parliament Hill.

In support of this effort, Vimy Brewing Company will be donating kegs of its premium lager, with 100% of proceeds from every pint sold going directly to the beneficiary charities. Attendees are encouraged to take part in this simple act of giving—raising a glass that directly supports first responders and homeless veterans in need.

More than a fundraiser, RAISE FOR HEROES is a value-driven soft launch for Memoria Global and for its proposed Mental Health and Wellness Advocacy Portfolio (MHWAP) — an emerging initiative dedicated to improving the mental health and wellness of veterans, military personnel, and first responders, including those who are homeless or at risk in urban centres such as Ottawa. MHWAP is designed to transform lived experiences of trauma and courage into a more coordinated response that strengthens communities and helps save lives.

Its moral foundation is rooted in the lived experiences of Afghanistan veteran Gino Roussel and Daniel “Cerberus” Ray Wolfe. Gino’s journey from profound trauma to healing, peace, and advocacy symbolizes the possibility of transformation. Daniel Wolfe’s life and tragic death brought painful visibility to the invisible wounds of service and to the consequences of delayed or inadequate support. A U.S. Iraq war veteran living with PTSD and traumatic brain injury, Wolfe died by suicide in 2014 after a visible mental health decline, and his story underscored the urgent need for timely intervention, trauma-informed care, and systems that do not abandon people at their most vulnerable. Together, these stories reinforce a simple principle: remembrance must lead to action.

By building on the strong public draw of National Tartan Day and extending it into a nearby fundraising activation, Memoria Global and its partners are creating a simple but powerful model: gather the crowd, keep the momentum, and turn shared values into real-world impact.
